Afro-Cuban religions- resulting from the merging of African religions and Catholicism as practiced by the Spanish colonizers - are deeply rooted in the Cuban population. From this religious syncretism two main cults emerged "Regla de Oshá" or "Sante ría" and "Regla de Palo de Monte"
